When I scoured the web, I had a difficult time finding a list of solid shower locations in metro Detroit. So, I started to compile a list of my own favorites, in hopes that folks could send additional suggestions my way for updating.
Keep in mind that this isn’t a full list of possibilities… it’s truly my preferred picks.
If you’re on the hunt for the perfect place to celebrate a bride, consider these:
Crispelli’s Club Room (Berkley, West Bloomfield)
Thin-crust pizzas, pastas and cocktails are the specialty at the Club Rooms located within both Crispelli’s locations. Seats up to 50 folks and is one of the newer, trendier options that hasn’t been overdone yet.
Sweet Lorraine’s (Southfield)
One of my all-time favorite restaurants in the area. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is whimsical. The second floor is available for parties.
Cantoro’s Trattoria (Livonia)
I’d have no clue about the brick-enclosed wine cellar beneath Cantoro’s if it weren’t for our lovely waitress that took us down for a peek. Long and narrow, but perfect for a shower setting, the food is catered by the restaurant above.
Royal Park Hotel (Rochester)
A stately option that sits just outside of downtown Rochester. Perfect for larger parties or even small gatherings in an afternoon tea setting. Excellent customer service.
Bravo! Italian (Livonia, Rochester, Dearborn)
Another Italian option with several convenient locations, all featuring private rooms.
The Aspen (Utica)
A log-style restaurant and bar, The Aspen offers rooms for up to 100 guests and an American menu. It’s located on Hall Road and easily accessible from M-53 or I-94.
Maggiano’s (Troy)
Excellent Italian food and a private room, just off the entrance. Bonus points for it’s convenient location on Big Beaver, not far from the I-75 ramp. Valet parking available.
Huerto Restaurant and Tequila Bar (West Bloomfield)
Accommodating up to 100 guests, Huerto is a Mexican restaurant and bar on Orchard Lake Road, roughly five miles north of I-696. The food is delicious and the setting is fun. Valet parking available.
The Whitney (Detroit)
In a class of its own, there’s no place quite like The Whitney in the area. A historic mansion on Woodward Avenue, the venue offers private rooms, intrigue and opulence; also ideal for a tea-style shower.
Local Kitchen and Bar (Ferndale)
Local’s quaint and kitchy atmosphere is warm and inviting. You might not realize that they have a full venue in back for parties up to 240 people. Additionally, the front patio seats parties up to 50.
It’s a Matter of Taste (Union Lake)
When it comes to views, this Italian venue beats most everything else and seats up to 200. Situated directly on Union Lake, it offers an upper level private room with balcony overlooking the water.
